Dog Training with Roman Provvedi

Dog training involves teaching dogs to perform specific behaviors in response

to verbal commands or other types of signals.

Education is based on the interpretation and understanding of all the dog's expressions and reactions: because to interact well with him, we must first understand how he thinks and how he perceives the world around him, but also be able to decipher the signals he sends us: sounds, postures, behaviors... But above all, the fundamental prerequisite of dog training is the construction of a relationship of trust between the dog and the human, especially in my philosophy. It is up to you, guardians, to patiently build this relationship, giving your animal all your affection, and providing him with everything he needs. Little by little, he will feel more and more confident, comfortable and safe in your company. He will be ready to collaborate fully with you. Education should not be seen as a one-way process: It is much more a synergy and an exchange between the dog and the human. The goal is to win together by playing as a team and encouraging the dog to cooperate. That's why it's important to encourage him every time he tries to do well and to reward and praise him when he reacts as you expect, or almost as you expect.

Analysis session
(Average duration 1.5 hours)

An assessment session is essential.
This first meeting at your home allows us to effectively discuss all of your needs and goals. It's also a time to observe and analyze your dog's profile in its environment.
After assessing the situation, a discussion of the reasons for your dog's behavior, along with theoretical input, will allow you to better understand some of these behaviors. We can also begin implementing appropriate changes.
At the end of this interview, I will provide an assessment and propose a personalized program.

Individual sessions
(1 hour)

Individual sessions allow you to learn basic dog training commands at your own pace and that of your dog. They take place in public outdoor environments (parks, woods, beaches, etc.) with the following objectives :
Learn basic commands (sit, lie down, recall, leash walking, etc.)
Ban your dog's bad habits
Promote your dog's socialization with other dogs and humans
Help familiarize your dog with different environments
Teach your dog to focus and pay attention to you
Build a relationship of trust
Generally, it takes between 5 and 10 sessions to acquire basic commands, with regular and rigorous practice.

Puppy sessions

(45 mn)

Puppy sessions can initially take place at your home, but soon, a public outdoor environment will be preferred so that your puppy becomes familiar with the world around him.

The objectives are:

Learn basic commands through play.

Learn how to train your puppy through positive reinforcement.

Understand your puppy's biological rhythm and decode puppy language.

Work on socialization.

Accept and adapt to various handling and stimulation (tactile, visual, acoustic, olfactory).
